The Bar
A small room, a long list.
Twenty-two seats. A marble counter the colour of bone. A cellar of roughly three hundred bottles, all made by women, mostly French, occasionally not. We open Wednesday through Saturday. We close when the last glass is empty.
What we pour, what we put on plates.
By the glass
Eight pours, rotating weekly. Always one Champagne, one orange, one red worth fighting over.
By the bottle
Roughly three hundred references. Half marked-up gently, half marked-up like a prayer.
From the kitchen
Anchovies. Almonds. Bread, butter, salt. A daily pâté. A weekly fish.
